What is Mitzvah Power Academy?

Mitzvah Power Academy is an innovative multimedia educational enterprise that fosters a deep connection to Jewish values and traditions in young Jewish children and their families. It is designed for ages 5-10 and teaches above all, how to be a "mensch" (good person). It is Jewish "edu-tainment" at its best. Mitzvah Power Academy includes our three original books; website at www.mitzvahpower.com with our Haverim Hero Fun Zone and Mensch-Tivities; and our newly released animated video series and honors program called, The Menschy Awards. Children who tell us about their mitzvot at home, school, synagogue or the community, receive a Menschy Award and are listed in our Menschy Hall of Fame. Their mitzvah may be featured in upcoming episodes of the Menschy Awards. There is also a fun Mitzvah Power Store with clothing, backpacks, toys and more. Our books are available from the store, on Amazon and other book sellers, or you can order them from your local bookstore as they are in the Ingram system.

What is the Storyline?

Mitzvah Power Academy, located on Planet Jewpiter, and is a training school for young children to learn how to be a mensch. Rabbi Leah and the trainees, known as Haverim Heroes, go on a series of "Mensch-Ventures" which take them across time and space to do their "mitzvot" (good deeds) integrating Jewish values. The stories highlight everyday issues in addition to Shabbat, holidays and visits with famous Jewish figures from the past, present and future.

Creator and Writer:

Mitzvah Power Academy was created and written by Rabbi, Cantor, Dr. Linda R. Bernstein. Rabbi Linda is an award-winning producer, writer and host of multimedia educational programs for young children and she is proud to present this exciting, fresh approach to teaching Jewish values that fosters an early love of Judaism.

THE MENSCHY AWARDS

“The Menschy Awards” is a new series of fun, animated short videos for Jewish children ages 5-10. It is the latest “edu-tainment” offering of Mitzvah Power Academy, adding to its books and www.mitzvahpower.com. In each brief episode, Rabbi Leah and Torah-Bot announce today’s “Menschy Award” winner(s) to honor an act of kindness, caring and sharing. Winners are also made a member of the Haverim Heroes of Mitzvah Power Academy. Sometimes the Mitzvah Time Machine will travel across time and space to honor biblical ancestors, historical figures and other menschy people and characters from the past, present and future.

MITZVAH POWER ACADEMY READ ALONG

Welcome to Mitzvah Power Academy Read Along, a new, animated video series based on the beloved Mitzvah Power Academy (TM) trilogy. We kick things off with “Welcome, Haverim Heroes: Jewpiter Mensch Venture” — the story of Rabbi Leah, who must prove she’s ready to lead the Mitzvah Power Academy by answering one very tricky question. Our next episodes follow Rabbi Leah and her young trainees, called Haverim Heroes, [Haverim means friends] to the other side of Jewpiter where they invite three not so menschy alien kids back to the Academy so they can learn about sharing and caring.  Expect giggles, great lessons, and galactic-level mitzvot in every episode.


In future Mitzvah Power Academy Read Along series, we will animate our other two books, 10,000 Matzoh Balls?!, a Passover Tale and Ark Aid, a Shabbat Story.  Children will love watching the stories come to life with our vibrant animated scenes and the amazing voices of Rabbi, Cantor Dr. Linda Bernstein, creator, writer and narrator of Mitzvah Power Academy Read Along.
